Caribbean Radio HD

Caribbean Radio HD ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Caribbean Radio HD mobile application (the "App") available on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information unless you contact us directly for support.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect the following:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version (Android/iOS), and unique device identifiers used solely to deliver push notifications.
• Push Notification Tokens: When you enable push notifications, we collect an Expo push token or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver notifications about live shows, events, and announcements.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, such as which stations you listen to, to improve our service. This data is not linked to your identity.
• IP Address: Your IP address may be logged by our streaming servers to serve audio and video content.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your precise GPS location.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone.
• We do not collect financial or payment information.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver live radio and video streaming content
• Send push notifications about live shows, new events, and announcements (only if you have enabled notifications)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third-party advertisers.

3. Push Notifications

If you choose to enable push notifications, we collect a device push token (provided by Expo/Firebase) to send you alerts about live programming, events, and updates. You can disable push notifications at any time through:

• The Profile tab in the App (toggle off Notifications)
• Your device's system settings (Settings → Notifications → Caribbean Radio HD)

Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.

4. Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Expo (Expo Inc.)

We use Expo's push notification infrastructure to deliver notifications. Expo may process your device token. See Expo's Privacy Policy.

Firebase / Google

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for Android push notifications. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Apple Push Notification Service (APNs)

For iOS devices, push notifications are delivered via Apple's APNs infrastructure. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Streaming Servers

Audio and video streams are served from our radio infrastructure (aud1.sjamz.com). Your IP address may be logged by the streaming server for technical purposes only.

5. Data Retention

We retain push notification tokens for as long as you have the App installed and notifications enabled. When a token becomes invalid (e.g., after uninstalling the App), it is automatically removed from our servers. You may request deletion of your device token at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our backend servers use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Delete your device token and usage data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time
• Request correction of inaccurate data

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
